Not only is it a pleasure to eat such food, but also a declaration of what we want and value in the world. In a world that's getting faster every day, good food reminds us to slow down and enjoy the moment. Through my work I seek to provide an experience of just how meaningful the moment can be.

about Me

Through a series of meandering events in my life, I have come to discover that food and cooking are my calling. Although I was drawn to cooking at an early age and have worked in many different kitchens over the years, I never really thought of it as something I'd want to do for a living. A “can't see the forest for the trees” sort of thing, I guess.

Looking back, I can see how it makes sense that I would become what I am today. Connecting the dots of my past outlines the character of who I am and how perfectly it fits with what I'm doing with my life. I get to live my dream of being an alchemist in the kitchen transforming simple ingredients into meaningful experiences and it's been quite a wonderful journey so far.




Dear Tod: Thank you so much for the stellar work you did for our group last weekend. The food was out of this world, a total treat for parents who feel obligated to cook so many times, and who rarely get to notice what they eat, or eat in peace. Your artistry and caring make our retreat a true respite. Who you are also makes a difference—we all can tell that we’re blessed by your intelligence and attention.
